Epi
A very popular picnicking bread in France - Pain d’Epi, consists of a series of delicious rolls which are interconnected to look like a stalk of wheat. Being a cousin of the classic french sourdough baguette, it offers similar airy crumb and crunchy crust enhanced by a coating of toasted sesame and poppyseeds. The resulting loaves are conveniently portable, which makes them a perfect bread for family picnics on the beach.
